Energy Alliance works in partnership with the Residential Landlords Association. As a result, we help landlords nationwide to upgrade their properties. We offer FREE or partially funded energy saving property improvements. For example, the scheme offers FREE cavity wall insulation, free loft insulation and part-funded replacement boilers to qualifying tenants. These measures have a major effect on a property’s energy efficiency performance. What’s more, with potential savings of up to £565 a year on heating costs it’s great news – no matter who’s footing the bill.
Also, did you know Landlords are required by law to upgrade the energy efficiency of their properties? This must be in place by 2018. Installing FREE insulation and A+ rated replacement boilers is the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to do this.
The legal obligations
From April 2018, legislative changes will make it unlawful to let residential properties with an EPC rating lower than E.
Reducing the cost of heating brings direct advantages. In particular, tenants will be more inclined to heat your property adequately. Sensible heating reduces the possibility of mould and condensation. According to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), making energy saving improvements can improve the value of housing stock by up to 38%.
